The 30th IATO Annual Convention held in Delhi

Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has extended its full support to fulfil the first-of-its-kind project in Central India- the developing of floating and lakeside restaurants at Ambazari Lake. The tourism project has been undertaken by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in association with city-based Tuli Group and aims at turning the 20-acre Ambazari Lake and the garden area into a tourism hub.
Yug Tuli, Head of the new firm of Tuli Group, said, “Floating bistro will be a stable structure in the heart of the lake and 250 metre away from the lake’s bank. It will cover around 6,000 sq ft space on the lake water and will be able to accommodate 250-300 people. Jetty will be constructed on the bank with motor boat station. People will be taken to the bistro in motor boats. Bistro will comprise air-conditioned covered and open restaurants along with space for medium scale parties. Adequate parking will be provided along with safety and security arrangements.”
The project will also prevent pollution through safe collection of sewage, waste water, garbage and food waste. The NMC’s is planning to build the garden area in the final stage of the project, while the construction of Swami Vivekananda Memorial at the lake’s overflow point has been started already.
